All hard drives fail, of that there is no doubt, once in a while a hard drive has inherent problems that can make them fail sooner. Even though hard drive companies like Seagate make fine hard drives, nothing can ever be perfect all the time. Seagate Hard Drive Problems Firmware Fix

Here are some of the symptoms of the Seagate Firmware failure.

One of the most common signs of the Seagate hard drive failure is when the harddrive is still recognized by the system or is only seen as 0 (zero) size, in other words it is showing no GB. This can be possibly be repaired by downloading and running the Seagate firmware fix from Seagate's website. In our hard drive data recovery experience, this firmware fix has only worked some of the time and we end up manually repairing the hard drive problem.

The second problem is when the Seagate hard drive is no longer seen in the bios and stays busy, unfortunately in this case the Seagate firmware fix will only work if your drive is still seen in the bios (it can only repair what is can see). This is the most common problem we are running into and the Seagate hard drive problem we can repair.
