DTI Data's Many Options For RAID Data Recovery

DTI Data has been in the RAID Data Recovery business for a long time. We focus on RAID 5 data recovery, which is still the prelevant system in storage devices such as DELL PowerEdge Servers. Many RAID systems such  RAID 50 is still built off of the basic RAID 5 configuration. A RAID 10 is built off of a straight RAID 0 which is a striped array and offers no truly sound backup if one or more drives fail in the array. DTI Data offers many solutions to recover or even repair RAID arrays, whether they are nested arrays or straight-up RAID 0, 1 or 5. Almost all major computer manufacturers offer some sort of RAID system for video enthusiasts, gamers or small businesses.

RAID 1 Data Recovery Software

DTI Data Recovery is happy to announce a new full version FREEWARE data recovery software for RAID 1 users. If you are using a RAID 1 which is a mirrored set of hard drives, and the RAID no longer boots, than we can help. More home users are getting their computers with RAID hard drives installed, even though a mirror is the best RAID for a home computer, hard drives do fail.

When on of the two hard drives within a RAID 1 fails, sometimes the system is unable to read the partition. This is especially true if the disk 0 hard drive containing a RAID 1 fails. Most of the time the system will still boot, but if it doesn’t then you can no longer access your data! For this reason DTI Data Recovery has created a FREEWARE RAID data recovery software that will allow users to take either of the broken RAID 1 hard drives and mount it as a single drive. Once the RAID 1 hard drive has been converted to a single drive, your system will be able to read and copy your data off of the damaged RAID 1.

Click here to download the RAID 1 data recovery software. This is a full version freeware, not a demo or a trial. Call 727-345-9665 if you have any questions.

I’m surprised to hear you say that “A RAID 10 is built off of a straight RAID 0 which is a striped array and offers no truly sound backup if one or more drives fail in the array.” You can have any one drive fail in RAID 10 and still be up an running. NO, this is not a backup, it is redundancy. In fact, you can have more than one drive fail and still be running in RAID 10 as long as the two drives that fail are not in the same Mirror set.

      Richard,

This is actually not the case, I know in theory that SHOULD be the case but I currently have a RAID 10 in here. It is 4 1.5Tb drives and I have one drive down in the array.

The array would not come up or mount EITHER volume. This is because in the second array there was a hinky drive that was not fully failed but was still acting up.
