Same thing on the demo version. I was about to give up on the program, but then noticed that if you restart the scan it picks up where it left off. Unfortunately, there is no option to specify how to deal with the bad sectors, nor does the program issue any message to clarify the situation. Nevertheless, it scanned a 372GB of disk space in about 1.5 hours and found a lot more files than the other five programs I was evaluating. And results were organized very neatly into directories - basically, the way it looked before my RAID 1 array disappeared. I think I am going to pay for it despite this shortcoming.

I purchased D.A.R.T XP yesterday to perform data recovery. It works to a degree but during the scan process and again during the file copy process I have encountered "read" problems on some sectors. Example: COULD NOT READ SECTOR 62694399.

Unfortunately the DART program terminates operation when this is encountered. Needless to say this is well into the program cycle (10 or more minutes for the scan, several hours for the copy).

Is there a command line option or some patch to the program to allow it to skip over the error and continue processing ?
