The problem with the MPG and MPF drives were directly related to MCU chip on the PCB. Whci in turn caused modules in the SA to become corrupt. Fujitsu has long since fixed this problem and from my experience produce a quality product.

As far as 100gb laptop hard drives breaking a week after a week or even a month I don't believe that to be true. I have had a 100gb fujitsu running in one of my laptops for over 6 months without a problem.

JJ - Yes Fujitsu drives are OK now. What happened was Fujitsu put some bad firmware on the PCB board. That was only on their desktop drives. Realistically all laptop hard drives are prone to failure. The most common cause is heat. http://www.dtidata.com/resourcecenter/2007/01/27/hard-drive-failure-heat/

that post talks about it. I will post an article later today about what you can do to keep your laptop cool!
