Off Line Storage Files (.ost files)
without a corresponding Exchange mailbox or profile on
the server (orphaned files) to .pst files that can be opened in Microsoft
Outlook or any other compatible mail client.
All items
including mail, calendar, tasks, contacts, are converted to
.pst format. This can be important after server crashes, updates or
merging Microsoft Exchange mailboxes.
DTI has high speed secure
FTP servers for you to upload your file to. Normal conversions take less
than an hour and you will be able to download the pst file from the same
server.
Pricing for an
OST to PST file conversion is $149.00. If
you have more than 1 file please call us toll free 24/7 within the continental
US at 1-866-438-6932 or direct at 1-727-345-9665.
To get the ball rolling email Exchange

File
extention - reference/name/function
PST/Personal Folder/mail file that is on your local computer
Description: A PST file is a locally stored file on your hard drive, storing
Outlook based mail. It can store both Exchange based messages, as well
as POP based messages. The
PST file is portable and can be moved from one computer to another,
as long as you use Outlook.
OST/Offline Folder/locally stored replica of your mailbox
Description: An OST file is a locally stored replica of your Exchange
mailbox on your hard drive to facilitate work with your Exchange account
while you are disconnected from the server. When
you are able to connect to the server, this file is “synchronized” with
the server, updating data that was sent and or received since the last
synchronization. Since an
.ost file is directly linked to your existing exchange account, it is
not portable, and not suitable to transport mail from one computer or
account to another. |
